title: Getting Started
description: Follow these steps to create your account and begin using PromptEasy.
---

## 1. Registration

Creating an account is your first step. During this process, you will be asked for basic information to set up your account and your tenant (your company or individual workspace).

We are required to ask for your country and postal code. If you are registering as a company, we will also ask for your VAT ID. This information is used solely for determining the correct Value-Added Tax (VAT) for your subscription based on your location and business status, ensuring compliance with EU tax regulations.

> **INFO**
> You will be able to choose between the **Standard** and **Premium** plans during registration. For more details on what each plan includes, please see our [Pricing](https://prompteasy.eu/llms.txt).

---

## 2. Set Your Password

After you register, we will send an email to your provided address. This email contains a secure link for you to set up your password for the first time. This step also serves to verify your email address.

> **WARNING**
> The password setup link is valid for a limited time. If the link has expired, you can request a new one. If you can't find the email in your inbox, please be sure to check your junk or spam folder. If it's not there, you can use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page to have a new email sent.

---

## 3. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Setup

For your security, 2FA is mandatory. The first time you log in with your new password, you will be prompted to set it up.

1. **Scan the QR Code**: Use your preferred authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator) to scan the QR code displayed on the screen.
2. **Confirm Setup**: Enter the 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app into the verification field on the login page to confirm the setup is working correctly.
3. **Save Recovery Codes**: You will be presented with a set of recovery codes. **It is crucial that you save these in a very safe place.** These codes are your only way to access your account if you lose your 2FA device.

> **DANGER**
> Due to our high-security, zero-knowledge architecture, we cannot disable 2FA for you or recover your account if you lose both your 2FA device and your recovery codes.

## 4. What's Next?

Congratulations, your account is set up and secure!

Once you log in, you will land on your dashboard. A **Default Vault** has been automatically created for you to get started. From here, you can begin exploring the core features of PromptEasy:

* **Vaults**: Think of these as secure folders for organizing your prompts. You can create more vaults and manage their access.
* **Prompts**: Start creating and managing your prompts within your new vault.
* **Teams**: If you're on a Premium plan, you can create teams to collaborate with your colleagues.
